Fantastic Show Jumping Bonanza at
Dabbs Show And Activity Center
18th 19th and 20th of May 2001 - Archives
Douglas Duffin
One of Scotland's up and coming stars competing in the Gold arena
on "Jack"
Dabbs show and activity center leapt into action this weekend when
they hosted a superb three day BSJA show jumping bonanza, entertaining
both junior and senior competitors.
The weather stayed dry and cool, ideal conditions for horses and
riders to compete against one another over some challenging courses.
Horses and riders traveled from all over Scotland some from further
a field, to battle it out for some generous prize money sponsored
by local companies within the Kingdom of Fife and beyond.
Douglas has had a very successful career in Show Jumping working
his way up through the levels since childhood under the careful
eye of his trainer Ron Brady. He now makes up part of the Langfaulds Show Jumping team in Saline,
Fife, sponsored by Nathan Valley Homes.

The show commenced on Friday 18th May with a superb schedule of
classes for BSJA competitors.
The opening class got underway in the all new, all weather arena.
Competitors quite clearly appreciated this superb new feature at
the center which has just recently been put in place. The center catered for overnight stays by providing temporary stables
for the horses and the cafeteria was kept busy providing hungry
punters with a good choice of home cooked food!

to opt out of the jump off and settle for equal places in order
to save their horses for classes later on over the course of the
weekend.
A fantastic triumph for Scottish Lady Show Jumping!

weekend's success by winning the Ace Security Management Grade C

of the weekends show.
An interview with Ron Brady informed us that the King of The ring
has been put together with the assistance from four main companies
within the East of Scotland.
