EQUESTRIAN SILENT AUCTION - in need of fund for the Anthony Nolan Trust - added 6/3/03
|
Equestrian Silent Auction The Anthony Nolan Trust Charity No. 803716
The Anthony Nolan Trust invites you for a lifesaving week with your Equestrian Hero! We have 10 unique packages for sale in this amazing auction. You could spend a week of a lifetime in the yard of your “Equestrian Hero!”
John Whitaker (Show Jumping) Tim Stockdale (Show Jumping) Pippa Funnel (Eventing) Robert Oliver (Showing) Jennie Loriston-Clarke (Dressage) Mark Broadbent (Carriage Driving & Carriage Construction) Kelly Marks (Horse Whisperer) Ian Semple (Racing Yard) Hayfield International (Polo) Kings Troop (Royal Horse Artillery)
These are all packages you cannot normally buy!
Accommodation and travel is not included in any of the packages, but many yards do have accommodation on site and this may be available by arrangement with the yard. If not we will help to find you accommodation nearby.
With the exception of the Kings Troop, which is a one day visit for two people, you will spend between 5 and 7 days on the yard of your choice. This will give you a rare opportunity to see how Britain’s top equestrians run their yards and depending on your experience there may be opportunities to ride or drive and maybe even travel to a competition or two. This is entirely up to the yard owner.
The timing of your visit will be by mutual agreement with yourself and the yard.
Closing date for bids is Monday the 30th June 2003
Thousands of people are dying every year from fatal bone marrow diseases. They desperately need a blood cell transplant to survive, but many are unable to find a suitable donor match ~ they reach a stage when their only hope of survival is that ONE DONOR and we have so many local children and young adults waiting for us to give them the gift of life. We receive no Government funding; therefore we rely solely on donations and fundraising events to give these youngsters a chance.
Bids can be made: Telephone: George Walker on 01467 629468
By Post: The Anthony Nolan Trust, Hillside Stables, Keithall, Inverurie, Aberdeenshire, AB51 OJY

Each package will go to the highest bidder.

The Scottish Amateur Committee would like to congratulate Laura Johnstone, who rides for John Grieve, from Auchtermuchty, on her recent success of winning the Scottish Indoor Championship at Rowallan.
Her steed, Travis Roma, was bought as a 5 year old by John, who, himself competed him at Amateur level, winning an Amateur Grand Prix at Ballivor in Ireland, being placed 2nd in the Scottish Amateur Grand Prix in 2000, and representing Scotland at various Amateur events.
